Dr. Andy Lister is a research scientist with the USDA Forest Service's Forest Inventory and Analysis program. My main research interests include forest inventory design, estimation statistics, remote sensing integration, and technology transfer. He works in the National Forest Inventory of the United States (FIA) as well as with international partners on the design of their forest monitoring systems.

Why do you contribute to AEOIP? I am interested in technology transfer and leveraging investments in NASA EO data within the US Forest Service. I appreciate the efforts the AEOIP makes to raise awareness about opportunities to use NASA datasets to improve USFS business practices. 

How has AEOIP helped you and your organization? AEOIP workshops and webinars have been a helpful way for me to learn about how the various sensors can be used for natural resource monitoring and management.
